Humanitarian crises

In response to this worsening humanitarian situation and the persisting inequalities, we have identified four regional priority intervention areas across our 23 countries:

• Providing life-saving assistance through the use of a ‘minimum initial service package’ for sexual and reproductive health in emergency settings;

• Acknowledging the high levels of gender-based violence and develop a support service for survivors;

• Efficient use of data and information on existing services and supplies to ensure better preparation, effective response and post crisis management;

• Building the resilience of vulnerable populations - especially young people - by ensuring a link between emergency relief interventions and existing efforts to build resilience and bring about sustainable development.
