ABUJA, Nigeria, 27 to 29 September — Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, and Mark Lowcock, Permanent Secretary of the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DfID), undertook a joint mission to enhance support for voluntary family planning. During the visit, they engaged with high-level Government officials and other stakeholders in an effort to boost UNFPA Supplies of lifesaving and birth spacing commodities to empower women and girls and harness the demographic dividend.
